Money circle

Money circle started out as a community of women sharing wisdom on money, with insightful financial content around themes for every stage of life. The aim was to create a place where women can share ideas and personal stories about money, followed by a social comparison tool where they could rate, review and recommend financial products. As an early stage start-up, I was the first hire, designing the brand from scratch, a community platform that would stimulate conversation and product design for the comparison engine.

Finance, but friendly

Research showed that money matters are personal and emotionally charged, but tackling financial challenges can be complicated, cold and quite overwhelming. Money circle started a warm conversation about money and it's problems - creating an open, trustworthy place where women would feel safe to share, connect and learn. I developed a hard-working colour palette that is at once direct, warm and expressive. This is anchored by a straightforward logo and the voice of lovely typeface Harriet.

Real women, real experiences

As the community began to build, the next step was to build a comparison engine that would allow women to rate and review financial products honestly, based on life experiences.  Kind of like "Tripadvisor, for women and money!"
